The Rogersville Police Department consists of full-time officers as well as a reserve officer program. Each officer is Missouri P.O.S.T certified and is required to be in good standing with them upon employment. Along with being state certified, each officer also holds specialized training in various fields of law enforcement. Some of these fields include, Investigations, Arms Instructor, D.A.R.E Officer, Type II and Type III BAC Operators, DWI Checkpoint Supervisors, and DRE(Drug Recognition Expert)Officer.

The department is responsible to provide police coverage 24 hours/7 days a week. Some of these services include, traffic enforcement, accident investigations, criminal investigations of persons and property, drug and alcohol detection, and community involvement. The department also has a full-time investigator.
